Types of Appliances

Elastics (Rubber Bands)

Elastics help align your bite by improving how your upper and lower teeth fit together. They work best when worn exactly as directed.

Forsus™

This spring-like appliance is used in growing teens to correct overbites and reduce jaw discrepancies. It may eliminate the need for jaw surgery.

Headgear

Used to correct severe overbites or underbites by guiding jaw growth. It gently restricts forward movement of the upper or lower jaw, depending on your needs.

Palatal Expander

This device gradually widens the upper jaw to make space for crowded teeth. It’s regularly adjusted and worn for a few months to retain the new shape.

Retainers

Retainers keep your teeth in their new positions after treatment. They can be removable or fixed and must be worn as instructed to maintain your results.

Separators (Spacers)

Small rubber rings are placed between teeth before braces are applied to make room for orthodontic bands. Avoid sticky foods, floss, and toothpicks while they’re in place.

Twin Block Appliance

Made of two separate acrylic pieces for the upper and lower jaws, this appliance helps guide lower jaw growth in younger patients. It’s removable for cleaning but worn full-time for best results.
